CONCURE SYSTEMS IS PROUD TO ANNOUNCE…
- THAT WE WERE A MAJOR PARTICIPANT IN ASPEN MUSIC SCHOOL ADDITION TOP 5 BUILDINGS
- ACROSS THE USA. THE DENVER POST – RAY MARK RINALDI (ARTICLE) & DAVID TSANG
(PHOTOGRAPHY) – NAMED ASPEN MUSIC SCHOOL AS ONE OF THE TOP 5 BUILDINGS OF 2013 IN
THE UNITED STATES. HARRY TEAGUE ARCHITECTURE (ASPEN, CO) WAS THE FIRM THAT
DESIGNED THE BUILDING THAT, WHILE USING THE NATURAL LANDSCAPE OF THE ASPEN SLOPES
AS INSPIRATION, ALSO CREATIVELY USED EXISTING SPACE (PRACTICE ROOMS) AS STRUCTURAL
SUPPORT (RETAINING WALLS) IN WHAT IS TRULY A WORK OF ART.
HARRY TEAGUE ARCHITECTS INGENIOUSLY USED INNOVATION IN THE CONCRETE (CONCURE
ADMIXTURE) TO NOT ONLY ESCALATE THE PROJECT SCHEDULE BUT PERMANENTLY ELIMINATE
FLOORING FAILURES DUE TO MOISTURE OUT OF OR THROUGH THE SLAB. IN ADDITION,
CONCURE SYSTEMS 2100 CURE & SEAL WAS USED IN LIEU OF WET CURING TO PROMOTE
FLOORING BOND WHICH ALLOWED ALL OTHER NON-FLOORING TRADES ACCESS ALMOST
IMMEDIATELY TO ELIMINATE DELAYS AND MAINTAIN A TIGHT SCHEDULE.
FLOORING FINISH WAS TEMPERED PLYRON (MASONITE) WHICH FALLS INTO THE CATEGORY OF
MOISTURE SENSITIVE FLOORCOVERING AND PLAYED A BIG ROLE IN THE DECISION TO USE
CONCURE SYSTEMS ADMIXTURE AGAIN DUE TO ESCALATED SCHEDULE.
THE SLABS TESTED OUT ON DARCY SCALE AT 10-9 WHICH IS AN EXCELLENT RELIABLE LONG-
TERM RESULT WITH REGARD TO PERMEABILITY AND SUBSTANTIALLY INCREASED THE OVERALL
CONCRETE STRENGTH FROM ORIGINAL DESIGN.
SHAW CONSTRUCTION HEADED THE PROJECT AS GENERAL CONTRACTOR AND WORKED
DILIGENTLY THROUGH TOUGH CONDITIONS TO BRING THE PROJECT TO FRUITION.
